Free initial urologist appointment during October 2023
“Throughout October, we have a special offer: a free initial appointment with a urologist. We urge all men to be attentive to their health and undergo preventive examinations with a urologist on time.”
Urologist at the Spizhenko Clinic Igor Malinovsky explains how regular preventive examinations prevent prostate cancer:
Prostate adenoma that was not treated in time is one of the prerequisites for the development of prostate cancer. The most effective method of prevention is screening examinations.
It is recommended to visit a doctor at least once a year until the age of forty, provided there are no obvious symptoms of pathology. If a man has regular sexual intercourse with different partners, he should visit a urologist at least once every six months – in some cases, infections with sexually transmitted diseases are completely symptomless, but they are one of the risk factors for prostate disease.
After the age of 50, every man should visit an urologist every six months. If close relatives have had prostate cancer, preventive examinations with a regularity of six months should be started at a younger age.
Prostate cancer is curable if detected at an early stage. In the practice of our clinic, there are many cases when a man returned to a full life after successful treatment. Do not delay with examinations!”
